FAQs
What is Dog Culture?
Dog Culture is a locally owned, fun and unique doggie enrichment facility and social hub located in Downtown Greenville. Our goal is to create a safe, healthy, active environment and experience with the purpose of improving the lifestyle for not only the dog but the owner as well. At Dog Culture, we love all dogs and are pleased to offer something to all of our four-legged friends.
Why Does Your Doggie Need Day Care?
Doggie Day Care is critical to your pup’s mental and physical health. For puppies, day care allows them the opportunity to socialize and learn social cues, which is vital to their development. For adult dogs, day care gives them the exercise and socialization that allows them to thrive. And no matter how old your dog is, just like us humans, they love to have fun and hang out with their friends!
Is Doggie Day Care Right For Your Dog?
Doggie Day Care is not a perfect fit for every dog. Reactive or fearful dogs may not have a good experience at day care and may not be a good fit. Each dog at Dog Culture will undergo a meet and greet to determine if the day care environment is appropriate. If day care is not suitable, feel free to rent out our Culture Courtyard and experience your very own private dog park.
What Is The Meet And Greet And Why Are They Required?
The meet and greet allows us to evaluate your dog’s personality to determine the current level of their social development to ensure that he/she is a good fit and can play well with others. We strive to maintain a safe environment for all of our dogs and employees.
After A Successful Meet and Greet, Will My Dog Always Be A Candidate For Day Care?
Not necessarily. Our team members are constantly supervising and evaluating the pups. Under certain circumstances, dogs can grow out of day care or develop tendencies that make day care no longer a good fit.
What are the Culture Sleepovers?
The Culture Sleepovers are our solution to your boarding needs. We offer an open boarding environment, meaning there are no kennels, crates or cages during your pups stay with us. During the day, your pup is in the Culture Club day care where they get to play with their friends and run around the yard. In the evenings, they will transition to another room where they get to snuggle with their mates on a comfy cot or bed and get some special attention from our team. Members of our staff will accompany your pup all throughout the night and make sure everyone is nice and cozy.
Can my dog come for a Culture Sleepover?
Your pup must be currently established in the Culture Club day care. The open boarding environment offered at Dog Culture is unique and requires our team to know the personalities of each pup staying with us. Not every dog established in the day care will be accepted in the Culture Sleepovers. These guidelines help ensure that we maintain a safe and loving atmosphere for everyone.
Is It Required That I Bring My Dog’s Food?
We highly recommend that you bring food for your pup’s stay to keep their current diet while you are away. We request that you measure out their food and place them in separate Ziploc bags. If necessary, we can provide food for $5 per day which would include 2 meals.
What Vaccinations Are Required?

At Dog Culture, we require all dogs to be current on vaccinations. All dogs should be up to date on Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus) and Canine Influenza (H3N8 and H3N2) Vaccines. In addition, your dog must be up to date on flea/tick and heartworm medications. If you have any questions regarding our vaccination policy, please feel free to contact us.

We recommend having your vaccinations renewed early, as it can sometimes take several weeks for vaccinations to take full effect.

Are There Any Breed Restrictions?
There are NO breed restrictions, however each dog must schedule a meet and greet prior to being admitted into day care.
How Old Must My Dog Be?
All dogs accepted into dog day care must be 16 weeks old to ensure they have had the opportunity to receive the appropriate vaccinations.
Does My Dog Need To Be Spayed Or Neutered?
Dog Culture requires all of our day care guests to be spayed or neutered by the time they are 7 months of age.
What Will My Pup Do During The Day?
Dog Culture provides your pup an active and structured day of fun. Each day, your pup will follow a daily schedule, much like kids in school, that will include play time with friends, outdoor fun, puzzles and even naps. The structured schedule gives our guests an environment that is nurturing and stimulating both physically and mentally.
How Do You Separate Dogs?
At Dog Culture, we have the ability to separate our guests into four specific social groups based on each dog’s characteristics. The characteristics that are evaluated are your dog’s size, age, social activity and overall temperament and it is then determined which group would be the best fit. We have small, manageable groups which allow our staff to better monitor and interact with all the doggies.
Are The Dogs Supervised At All Times?
Absolutely! Our doggies are monitored at all times to minimize conflicts and ensure your loved ones are having a safe and exciting day. Additionally, our staff is trained on canine behavior to safeguard against any possible aggressive actions.
What Are Your Hours?
We are open 7am to 7pm, Monday thru Saturday. Day care is closed on Sunday. We are open for boarding pickups from 2pm-4pm on Sunday. Holiday hours may vary.
What Time is Drop off and Pick up for Day Care?
For Full Days, Drop Off is between 7am and 9am and Pick Up is between 4pm and 7pm.
For Morning Half Days, Drop Off is between 7am and 9am and Pick Up between 12pm and 2pm.
For Afternoon Half Days, Drop Off is between 12pm and 2pm and Pick Up is between 4pm and 7pm.
Do I Need To Make A Reservation?
Reservations are required for Sleepovers and Grooming appointments. We highly recommend Day Care reservations as we are typically full during the week. Without a reservation, we cannot guarantee a spot for your pup. Also, half day reservations are limited daily in order to keep our day care functioning effectively and safely.
How Will My Dog Act When THEY Get Home?

Your dog is guaranteed to have an active day at Dog Culture. They will likely want to drink water and eat their dinner. To prevent potential complications from eating too soon after an active day, we recommend waiting an hour prior to feeding. Fido should have a good night’s sleep to be ready for his/her next exciting day!

What Is The Cancellation Policy?
  • If a reservation for Sleepovers is made, a 50% deposit is required. Deposits are non-refundable if your pup’s reservation is not canceled 72 hours prior to your pup’s stay.
  • If your pup is unable to make a Grooming appointment, we request 24 hours notice or you will be charged for their groom.
  • We highly recommend Day Care reservations be made and request those reservations be canceled 24 hours in advance so they do not take up a spot for other pups trying to get in.
How Do You Keep The Facility Clean?

The cleanliness of our facility is extremely important and is a consistent and ongoing process. We continuously work to make sure each aspect of our facility is clean and sanitary by using high quality pet-safe disinfectants. If one of the dogs has an accident inside, it is our policy to immediately clean it up and disinfect the area. We can also open our garage doors which allow us to circulate the air inside the facility to help prevent airborne illnesses.

May I Tour The Facility?
Yes, you may schedule a tour at any time. We prefer to schedule these during non-peak hours.

***Due to COVID, we are not giving tours in the current environment. We hope to offer tours again very soon.
